Muskegon Rescue Mission has been serving the needy and homeless in West Michigan for 109 years. From the time the mission was established, they have provided food, shelter, clothing and spiritual direction to hurting people.
Love In the Name of Christ has mobilized churches and volunteers to transform lives and communities in Muskegon County for over 30 years. Grounded in faith, we partner with the local churches and an army of volunteers to assist in the needs of our neighbors, always looking for ways to strive for self sufficiency. We do this through our many pantries and building relationships though our New Directions Life Skills classes.
The Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, a program of Catholic Charities West Michigan, is dedicated to serving individuals and families in downtown Muskegon. In 2015 we had over 8,900 visits to the pantry from people of all faiths, backgrounds and walks of life. Following in the footsteps of Christ, we empower people to achieve their God given potential by providing help and creating hope.
This event is to raise funds and increase the public's awareness of these local ministries.
